    The Beginning

    Welcome to Nino’s Tile & Marble Inc. – a company with a legacy of craftsmanship, devotion, and family tradition. We started from a small town in Italy, Mola Di Bari, where Nino Buonsante first learned the art of tile and stonework from his father at the age of 10. He spent many years sharpening his skills across Europe and then moved to the United States to bring fine Italian craftsmanship to Chicago. He worked in various places, including in a meatpacking plant and as a candymaker at Brach’s Candy, to provide for his family. However, he never gave up on his dream and eventually, in 1976, he brought his vision to reality by establishing his own tile company. His attention to detail and exceptional expertise quickly made him the most demanded tile setter throughout Chicago.

    But Nino’s legacy did not stop with him. He handed his knowledge and passion down to his sons, Tony and Vito. From a tender age, they worked alongside their father on weekends and summers and learned the skills, discipline, and artistry that portray true craftsmanship. With his sharp eye for symmetry and perfection, Tony became adept at assessing and providing innovative techniques to solve even the most complicated installations. At the same time, Vito brought his own precision and organizational skills to ensure efficiency without compromising on quality.
